Question: What is the main part of your job at Frontline?
Answer: I love what I do on a daily basis! In almost four years, I have never gone to work dreading what I was "required" to do at Frontline. I get to dream, teach, envision the future, and share the hope and grace of Jesus with people every single day. I work specifically with high school students and an amazing team of adult small group leaders from Frontline. They CONTINUALLY blow me away with their passions, how they follow Jesus and their activism toward changing the world. I get the privilege of helping students process the transition from high school to college and create intergenerational opportunities for those students to retain faith.
Question: Orange Juice: Pulp or No Pulp?
Answer: Pulp! There is no other choice. When I have orange juice, I want to chew on it.
Question: Morning or night?
Answer: Am I allowed to say both? I work best in the early morning because if I'm awake I'd better be doing something worthwhile, but I also stay up very late at night. Actually, I was up early this morning doing work and I'm writing this at midnight.
Question: Would you rather be alone or with a group of people?
Answer: GROUP! Who would ever want to be by themselves? Anybody who knows me knows that I hate being alone.
Question: What is one place you would like to travel in the world?
Answer: My wife and I have always said that we would love to go to Hawaii. Recently I had the opportunity to go to Sequoia National Park, but my wife and son couldn't be there. As it stands now, I would probably want to go back to Sequoia with them before going to Hawaii. Those trees were some of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
Question: Favorite TV show growing up?
Answer: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Sportscenter is a close 2nd, though.
Question: Favorite current album?
Answer: Without question, my favorite album right now is Simple Math by Manchester Orchestra. It's been on repeat for months.
Question: Hidden Talent?
Answer: I can say the alphabet faster backwards than most people can say it forward.
Question: Random Fact(s)?
Answer: I broke my cheek (or technically my "zygomatic") bone when I was in 7th grade playing soccer. It was bruised for almost 6 months, and I can still feel the crack in my cheek.
Answer: I've had 5 kidney stones. Read about my latest kidney stone here.
